Born:  17.06.1954 in Dundee, Scotland.

Started Music: ... 1962 age 8 years old.  Guitar.

First Concert:  ... 1963 age 9 years old in front of two thousand people for the Battle Of The Beat Bands @ The Palace, Dundee.  Many more concerts followed as a result and by the age of 10, I was a seasoned professional.

First Band: ... "Souled & Healed".  High School Band, I played bass guitar and was all of 14 years old.  Played mostly Tamla Motown songs and had a great time ...

Semi Pro:  ... started around my 16th birthday. "Forvere Amber" was the name of the band and we played mainly the US Air Force bases throughout Scotland.  Amazing time...and learned my craft!

Germany & Beyond: ... answered an advert in Melody Maker (1973) and joined The Tornados who later became LAKE!  I was the first official singer with LAKE ...

Beyond: ... went on to write & record some Ten solo albums & diverse musical projects.  Had a massive success with Linda & The Funky Boys with "Shame Shame Shame" (sold Six Million singles ...) plus "Sold My Rock N Roll" & "Climbing The Steps Of Love" all went Top 5 in the UK charts. I was a Star!

... Continued to work as a Studio Recording Artist with successful Hits with Hollywood Star Mark Wahlberg (Marky Mark) "No Mercy" sold around 650 Thousand copies throughout Europe ... Sang the Lead Vocal for "Like Ice In The Sunshine" for the Langnese Eis Co. cinema advert. This became a cult hit!

Worked ... with Maggie Reilly on television for the German "Wunschkonzert" - Beatles Symphonic Rock (with the Munich Symphony Orchestra) - Worked with most top names in the business including: Johnny Cash – Mark Wahlberg – Sir Cliff Richard & Band – Status Quo – Level 42 – Klaus Voormann (The Beatles) – Duran Duran – Elvis Presley Band (Nashville) – EMI Publishing – Warner/Chappell – and many, many more ...

At present ... currently working with Nick Oosterhuis – a Dutch/German-based composer as a co-writer / producer.

Finally ... I am very Happy & Excited to be working with LAKE again as their Lead Vocalist ... some 40 years after it all began!
